Is The Vegas Incident Not Terrorism Because No Guns Were Involved?

Lakeisha Holloway, the woman accused of deliberately driving her 1996 Oldsmobile onto a packed sidewalk along the famed Las Vegas Strip, killing one person and injuring thirty-five at last count with three still in critical condition; told police she was stressed out by security guards chasing her from parking lots in which she had been trying to sleep.

“The videos obviously show intention,” Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said at a Monday press conference. But he again said that there was no indication the case involved terrorism of any kind.

Holloway will be charged with murder with a deadly weapon and other charges related to the incident Sunday evening in Las Vegas. District Attorney Steven Wolfson added that it was too soon to determine if the death penalty could or would be sought in the case.

Are We Being Told the Entire Story?

Several reports online say that witnesses heard Holloway shout “Allahu Akbar” which is Arabic for “God is Great” as she ran down the innocent on the sidewalk. This would clearly be yet another act of Islamic terrorism if true, but there has been no official confirmation that this did in fact occur.
